Membership rate changes


Notification of the increase to the BASK Membership Subscription rates for 2017


The increase to the subscription rate was discussed and approved at the BASK AGM held in March 2016 at the ACC in Liverpool. The subscription rate had not been increased for the past thirteen years. The cost of running the society and The Knee Journal has increased and there was a need raise the member subscription. In order to keep the costs to members to a minimum, it was also subjected that a raise in subscription would include free registration to the BASK Annual Congress.


The annual subscription rates will increase from 1st January 2017 as follows:-

                     Consultant subscription rate will increase from £100 to £200 and include BASK Congress Registration

                     Trainee subscription rate will increase from £80 to £160 and include BASK Congress Registration.

The subscription including Congress Registration for all members will be uniform, whether members choose to opt out of receiving the Knee Journal or not.


Members who pay their subscription by Direct Debit will NOT need to amend their DD mandates, the changes will be done automatically by BASK.


Members who do not have a direct debit mandate in place will be sent an invoice at the beginning of December for their 2017 Subscription payment, the invoice must be paid no later than 31st December 2016.
